Lab Assistant - Windows based software to calculate the fundamental properties of seawater

 Lab Assistant is a compact application for the storage and calculation of sample data from measurements taken in the field or laboratory. It is fully integrated into the Microsoft Windows environment and looks and operates like a simple spreadsheet program.

Lab Assistant (Oceanograpic Modules) calculates seawater parameters and the fundamental properties of seawater, including:

• Practical Salinity from Conductivity Ratio (PSS-78)
• Practical Salinity from Conductivity (mScm-1)
• Conductivity Ratio from Practical Salinity
• Conductivity (mScm-1) from Practical Salinity
• Pressure to Depth
• Freezing Point of Seawater
• Fundamental Properties of Seawater calculated from pressure, temperature and salinity:
  - Specific Heat (Millero et al., 1973)
  - Specific Volume Anomaly (Millero et al., 1980; Millero and Poisson, 1981)
  - Density Anomaly (Fofonoff N.P. & millard R.C. Jr., 1983)
  - Adiabatic Lapse Rate (Bryden, 1973)
  - Speed of Sound (Chen & millero, 1977)
